Baby Gift Baskets
Baby gift baskets, if you have them made, can be pretty expensive, but there is no reason you can't make them yourself. It's really easy.
Making baby gift baskets that a one-year old will love!
-Be sure everything in the baby gift basket is safe for the baby
If you are going to give a one-year-old a baby gift basket and let him or her have fun unloading it, it's a good idea to make sure every item in the basket, and the baby gift basket itself is safe. Don't put balloons, hard candy, loose sheets of plastic or anything else that might be a choking or suffocation hazard in baby gift baskets.
-Use something fun as the "basket"
A baby gift basket doesn't necessarily have to put in a basket. You can fill a toy dump truck, a toy baby cradle, a toy shopping cart or a toy toolbox full of goodies. Using toys to hold the contents of a baby gift basket makes a cute gift and adds to baby's birthday fascination.
-Use a variety of goodies
Often, baby gift baskets are full of toys, candy or both. While these are fun contents for a baby gift basket, there are so many things you can put in a baby gift baskets that will be great hits at a first birthday party. Age appropriate and developmental toys are good, a little bit of candy is usually okay.
Many one-year-olds, especially girls, are also interested in things like clothes, hair pieces, shoes and decorated socks.
Picture books are very good to put in baby gift baskets for one year olds and may help to build an interest in learning to read in future years. Good snacks like small packages of crackers, fruit or fruit cups or miniature boxes of cereal are also nice additions to the baby gift baskets.
